Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Steve Jansen is a Texas-based experimentalist (and not Steve Jansen, the drummer from Japan!) whose musical pursuits focus on tape manipulation, alto saxophone, and electric guitar. Jansen has traveled extensively throughout Africa, Latin America, Europe, and across the States to unearth sound, and these recordings play a significant role in his unique sonic constructions.
