Featuring a Performance by Trust Your Moves Chorus

Philadelphia Queer Elders Project Opening Reception
Sunday, November 3rd, 2019 | 3pm-6pm | Free To Attend
Performance at 4pm

ABOUT THE EVENT

Join us for a reception and performance by Trust Your Moves chorus celebrating the opening of an archival exhibition of vintage queer zines as part of The Philadelphia Queer Elders Project, curated by Katie Rauth and Anna Pachner.

Stemming from a box of lesbian-centered zines from the 1970s through 1990s found on a roadside in Burlington, VT, and Pachner’s archival Instagram account @boxofvintagegayzines that followed, the exhibition will present excerpts of these publications, providing snapshots of queer lives as told through nationally, regionally and locally circulated writing.

At this event, the Philadelphia Queer Elders Projects invites LGBTQA community members to celebrate intergenerational connections and find out more about upcoming events included in the scope of the project Trust Your Moves, a West Philadelphia community chorus, will join us for a short performance at 4pm.
