RAFGAK: Russisches Amerikanische Freundschaft Gegen Atom-Krieg
A joyous noise duo from Berlin, RAFGAK, is a celebration of life and a small gesture against the absurdity of global conflict and self-destruction.
Bryan Eubanks (b. 1977, US) develops his music through solo work and collaboration. Since 1999 he has participated in many short and long term projects, and regularly presents his work internationally. Continually active in a variety of contexts: improvisation; composing electronic and acoustic works for small ensembles, solo instruments, computers, and electronics; organizing and curating concerts for other artists; building electronic instruments. He currently lives in Berlin.
Sidor Aksyonov is a musician, member of theater projects and organizer of events and festivals based in Berlin. He is a notable figure on the Russian and European new improvised and experimental music scenes. He employs a wide range of musical instruments in many projects and performances. Founder of such polystylistic musical formations as Studio of Unconscious Music (SUM) and Siberian Improvisation Company (SIC!). Works and plays concerts in various projects with a lot of musicians from around the world. Since 2018 he is the main artistic director of Petersburg Art Space (Berlin).
Beat Keller is a guitarist, improviser, composer and sound engineer based in Winterthur, Switzerland and Berlin, Germany. Through the exploration of extended playing techniques, guitar tunings and the use of an electric feedbacker guitar, he has developed a unique musical language. He is currently a member of the groups TWo DoGS (Joke Lanz & Beat Keller), Axel Dörner / Beat Keller, Saadet Türköz & Beat Keller, KFE (Keller/Friedli/Eden), Kazuhisa Uchihashi & Beat Keller, Werner Puntigam & Beat Keller, Cao-Keller-Siedl, Cara Stacey's Like The Grass and Weiss-Keller-Domeniconi.
Ben Bennett is an improvising percussionist who plays an assortment of self-made drums, membranes, idiophones, and other objects which are continually rearranged in the course of playing, and sounded with techniques of the hit, rub, and blow varieties. A branching path of musical de-materialization has led to other forms of performance, including self-vitiating monologues, and the long and repetitive YouTube series, Sitting and Smiling and Walking and Talking. His most recent album, Music for Idiophones vol 1, deals with erratic stick-slip behavior of various basic materials.
mumulak is the latest project by Grace Villamil. A spirit being propagating through noise and movement. mumulak was birthed from a 1970's b&w comic book found in Ilo̽Ilo, Philippines, the birthplace of her Mother. mumulak as trifecta has been performed at Basilica Hudson, NY & as solo in Brussels w/Overtoon. This will be their 3rd performance.
