Terry Conrad
Upstate
June 3 - 26, 2011

This work explores production and craft looking to the upstate NY culture and landscape for materials and form. Conrad attempts to make objects that have a consciousness of how they are produced, where materials come from whether they are natural or unnatural, found or purchased. Experimentation and intuition guide the work looking to daily writings based on personal experiences. The projects are made using many different processes but often discuss similar themes such as landscape, architecture, waste, and food.
