Anita Allyn

Anita Allyn's work combines photogaphy, video, animation and print and is informed by a processed-based studio practice. Her works focus on repetition in process and a cut-and-paste approach to media. Mashing multiple and distinct sources, Allyn's works investigate temporality, memory and media culture. Her work has been exhibited at Elements Museum of Contemporary Art, Beijing, China; Fototeka, L.A. CA.; Director's Lounge Berlin, Berlin, Germany; The Center for Photography at Woodstock, Woodstock, NY.; National Centre for Contemporary Arts, Moscow, Russia; Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; University Of Pennsylvania and Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland she has studied in Aix-en-Provence, France and Brighton, England. BFA from KCAI and MFA from SMFA.
