Vox member Beth Heinly has organized a series of 22 performances taking place in the Underground Pedestrian Concourse in Center City Philadelphia under the moniker of “Open Call Guerilla Outdoor Performance Festival: Spring Edition” aka OCGOPF. The schedule includes works by Heinly, Vox member Matt Kalasky, and fifteen other artists.
Vox member Alexander Rosenberg has been selected as one of the contributors to MONUMENT LAB: CREATIVE SPECULATIONS FOR PHILADELPHIA. Monument Lab is a public art and urban research project taking place at City Hall in May 15th through June 7th, 2015. Through a series of art installations, public events, and community-sourced maps, the project asks a central guiding question: What is an appropriate monument for the current city of Philadelphia?
Vox member Tiona McClodden debuted her new work KILO | Iba se 99 featuring performance artist Ash Tai with a musical score by Stasia Mehschel of THEESatisfaction on Feb 28, 2015 in Brooklyn, NY as a part of the culminating event for The Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership’s columinating event for Black Artstory Month.
Vox Populi member Beth Heinly in collaboration with Temple Contemporary are pleased to present the book launch for SEPTA Posters: Collector’s Edition. Printed with Temple Contemporary’s own Publication Studio, the Collector’s Edition brings together five zines that feature Beth Heinly’s trademark black and white line work. Arts writer and artist Whitney Kimball will lead the a conversation and Q7A with Heinly about her work.
Vox member Jay Muhlin along with Vox alumni Micah Danges and Anna Neighbor are included in a group show To Labor with Love at Fjord, a two-part exhibition curated by Fjord member Elisa Gabor. TLWL will feature Artists at Work, a film by Elina Brotherus from which the exhibition takes its launching point, as well as works by 17 other artists.
