VOX XIII opens July 14th
Off-Site exhibition due to building closure
990 Spring Garden to host VOX XIII

After closing last week due to a widely publicized building fire at 319 N 11th Street, Vox Populi is pleased to announce that it will temporarily re-open at 990 Spring Garden Street to present VOX XIII: Are ‘Friends’ Electric?, the thirteenth installment of its annual juried exhibition. For those who have not heard, we are thankful to share no one was hurt and the fire was contained. Our deep gratitude to Philadelphia Fire Department, Engine 20 for their speedy response to the situation.

Our juried exhibition is a long-standing element of Vox Populi’s celebrated exhibition program; we are proud to announce that despite the circumstances we are still moving forward with this tradition with VOX XIII, which will be on view from Friday, July 14, through Sunday, August 20 with a First Friday reception on August 4th. In addition to VOX XIII: Are ‘Friends’ Electric?—and as a reflection of the resilience and cohesion that defines the artistic community of our building—a second space at 990 Spring Garden will feature the work of the galleries and studios of the 319 building.

Throughout July and August, the 990 Spring Garden Street space along with other offsite locations will feature our regular line up exhibitions, performances, and other special events that would have otherwise been canceled or rescheduled due to the temporary closure of 319 N. 11th Street.

For further information, please see our extended statement above and for any press related inquiries, please contact communications@voxpopuligallery.org. Please stay tuned to our website and subscribe to our e-mail list for further updates as our space situation continues to unfold.
