In her latest installation, Leah Bailis uses sculpture and artifact to celebrate the spirit of the filmmaker George Kuchar, and his film Hold Me While I’m Naked.
Leah Bailis was born in Cleveland, OH. She studied Film at Bard College, and Studio Art at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and was a resident at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art. Bailis she exhibited her work at Fleisher Ollman Gallery, Arcadia University Gallery, Field Projects (NY), Lump Gallery (Raleigh, NC), Cell Project Space (London), The Front (New Orleans), ThreeWalls (Chicago), and the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts.
