Philadelphia Sound Forum presents:
Lea Bertucci/Anthony Saunders and Reed Evan Rosenberg
Lea Bertucci is an interdisciplinary artist who works with Photography, Sound, Video and Installation. She received her BA in Photography from Bard College in 2007, the same year she was awarded a fellowship from the Tierney Foundation. The emphasis of her work lies in exciting the liminal areas of perception. She uses tactics such as slide projection, stop motion video and lo-fi filtering of sound to engage with these ideas. In 2009 she was awarded a residency from Smack Mellon and a Young Composer’s Commission from Roulette. She has performed solo and collaborative works at venues such as Roulette, Issue Project Room, The Kitchen, Anthology Film Archives, St. Marks Ontological-Hysteric Theater, free103point9, Galapagos Artspace, The Queens Museum of Art and the High Zero Festival.
Anthony Saunders is works on numerous solo and collaborative projects including Explosive Improvised Device and the RSM label. Most of his projects are characterized within the realms of raw junk metal, harsh noise, electro acoustics, drone & computer music. His career has been marked by a lifelong obsession with brutal sounds (formerly one-half of Dataclast). He has performed at venues and festivals including ABC no Rio, NY EYE & EAR FESTIVAL, The Silent Barn, Ende Tymes, International Noise Conference NYC, and WFMU.
Reed Evan Rosenberg works with sound, code, lighting and language, to create work that synthesizes his interests in noise, dynamical systems, science fiction, sublimated violence, puckishness and utopia-in-general. Reed is also a member of Tandem Electrics (with Richard Kamerman) and Keroaän (with Ian M. Fraser).
