The Selfish Book Tour + Artist Panel is the last stop on a multi-city tour to showcase the amazing team behind Selfish, a mostly memoir magazine that focuses on the the female story,  and connect with artists on a personal level. This event will be led by editor-in-chief Taylor Yates with many of the Philadelphia-area contributors in attendance. She will discus the origins of the project, its mission, and the production of the latest issue, Just One More.

Philadelphia-area and east coast contributors will showcase their pieces from the issues, and attendees are encouraged to bring and share work of their own after the discussion – zines, artwork, writing, and more! 

Female attendees are also invited to submit works to be considered for the upcoming third issue of Selfish, Good Girl. Take a look at past issues of Selfish HERE.

Taylor Yates is the editor-in-chief and founder of Selfish. She is a writer and multimedia artist currently relocating back to Brooklyn. Through her work, she experiments with the traditional memoir format, using multidimensional storytelling to build a tapestry connecting the complexity of life-shaping personal experiences with the fluidity of current creative influences. Through Selfish, she seeks out the brazenly authentic and hopes to encourage women to explore and celebrate their own creative metamorphosis.
