On June 21, the longest day of the year, join Vox Populi members for Maximum Tilt: Summer Solstice Festival, a free block party featuring performances, art-making, food, and drink that kicks off nine-months worth of programming in celebration of our 30th Anniversary!
The event begins at 4:00pm in the shade of the Rail Park, located in front of the Vox Populi building (319 N. 11th Street), with a number of hands-on art-making activities and a performance by Lavender Suarez (C Lavender). Beginning at 6:00pm, welcome the summer season through a mind-expanding continuum of nature walks, performances, and other spectacles that bring together ritual healers, spiritualists, and artistic shamans. Appearances will be made by artists, dancers, and musicians, including Timeghost, Isolde Touch, Philadelphia Women’s Slavic Ensemble, Pearl Harbor, and DJ Rana Ransom. The event is kindly hosted by FemmeC Katie Rauth.
Vox Populi Anniversary celebrations are supported by Love City Brewery, which has created a special Vox beer for the occasion. Food will be served by 13th Street Kitchen, and specialty herbal cocktails are sponsored by The Trestle Inn.
Tickets into Vox Populi’s $30@30 fundraising raffle, offering the chance to win a one-week stay at a private cottage on Deer Isle along the coast of Maine, can be purchased at the event or on Vox Populi’s website until the morning of June 21. The winner will be announced at the Summer Solstice Festival.
All events are free and open to all — friends, families, artists, art aficionados, community members, and patrons are welcome.

PERFORMER BIOS
Timeghost
Solo performance by Adam Morosky utilizing modular synthesis, synchronized light, and multi-channel surround sound. Recordings released on Load Records and Chondritic Sound. “Timeghost pours modular synthesis, drum machines, found sounds, and spoken prose into dense, hot compositions, then squints delightedly at the results. The methodology is a tug of war between chaos and control, allowing stray sounds to cycle off at random, but giving space to work their way back into the fabric.” -Louis Pattison, The Wire
Isolde Touch
Isolde Touch is film-maker and sound artist Asha Sheshadri. Her work hinges on experimentation and abstraction through archival material, speech synthesis, original texts, computer, and piano, and her latest recording “Secretary of Sensation” was released on Entr’acte Recordings.
