About the Line Up
Intercourse
Avant-trash duo INTERCOURSE puts the disco back in disconsolate (where it belongs) with FUCK_ME.EXE, a debut cassette EP that seethes with bummer energy and dejected eroticism. FUCK_ME.EXE obliterates the line between harsh noise, plunderphonics, and dance music with mournful exuberance via sources ranging from obscure operas to car crash YouTube, backed by gabber-tinged beats and lyrics that obsessively delineate the humiliation of being.
Mining a mutual obsession with 20th-century freakery high and low, members Clark Ruhff and Dick W synthesize disparate, desperate influences to pioneer a genre best described as sex-negative electronica. Consumer Electronics and Samuel Delany engage in an eye-contact-free masturbation sesh in a crowded discotheque. Pierre Henry and Ron Athey cruise each other, as witnessed by Frankie Knuckles. Jane Wyman creams herself as she contemplates Rock Hudson, the main impetus of her attraction being that it’s a doomed endeavor. Equal parts feral and sterile, FUCK_ME.EXE evokes an interstitial pastiche of psychosexual despair.
With interpersonal frustration, indelible melancholy, and student loan debt as their primary animus, INTERCOURSE delineates our bizarre moment with aggressive sincerity and uncomfortable precision. FUCK_ME.EXE invites the listener to endlessly and fatally sip from and piss into the recursive bio-catheter of the techno-apocalyptic now, squirming like an aesthete.

Cotton Ceiling
Cotton Ceiling is Em Kaldenbaugh from Philadelphia, PA. Approaching the horizon of legibility. Form as comfort. Form as cage. Trans grrrl power electronics. Ethereal noise hooks for the meat suit riot. Dance music with slogans. No key.
