MY PALESTINE KEEPS ON GROWING // فلسطيني أنا بتضلها تكب // MA PALESTINE NE S’ARRÊTE PAS DE GRANDIR
is a text-based visual art show featuring the work of Palestinian poet and performer Farah Chamma فرح شمّا. The exhibition displays a collection of Farah’s poetry in Arabic, English and French, including Falastini Ana فلسطيني أنا, Fucking Visa and بدّي. The visual emphasis on the letters and words that comprise these poems invites you to experience the materiality of sentiment, the persistance of spirit, perspective, thought and emotion and poetry and art and humanity, and how such permanence can be cultivated and cared for under the fragmenting forces of genocide and violence.

About the Artist
A Palestinian poet and performer, Farah is known for her spoken-word performances, in which she combines orality, acting, and live music. She’s participated in many different events and festivals around the world including: Palestine en Campagne (France), Wilde Möhre (Germany), Bradford Literature Festival (UK), Karama Film Festival (Jordan), Faladura (Portugal), Requiem for Justice (Mexico), Le Guess Who? (Holland) and many more. In February 2021, she and Brazilian music producer Liev launched chamaeleon, a poetry and electronic music duo. Besides her native Arabic, she also writes and performs in English and French. She holds a master’s degree in Performance and Culture from Goldsmiths, University of London and a BA in Philosophy and Sociology from the Sorbonne in Paris. She is currently based in São Paulo.
فرح شمّا شاعرة ومؤديّة عروض، تشتهر بفن الإلقاء، حيث تجمع بين الأسلوب الشفهي والتمثيل والموسيقى. تدمج اللغات والأساليب في عروضها الحيّة، خالقة مساحة حرّة وخاصة بها. فلسطينية الأًصل، عاشت في البرازيل وفرنسا والإمارات العربية المتحدة والمملكة المتحدة. شاركت في العديد من المهرجانات والفعاليات حول العالم. درست الفلسفة وعلم الاجتماع في جامعة السوربون، ثمّ أكملت درجة الماجستير في فنون الأداء والثقافة في جامعة جولدسميث في لندن. تعمل حالياً على مشروع ثنائي بعنوان كاميليون مع المنتج الموسيقي البرازيلي لييڤ. تقيم حالياً في مدينة ساو باولو
