To Our Friends and Supporters
Vox Populi is thriving—and you make all the difference. With your support, we continue to grow as a hub for artists and audiences to connect, create, and explore together. As we celebrate another incredible year of championing experimental, community-centered art, we invite you to support Vox with an end-of-year gift to help us expand our reach and impact in 2025.
It would be impossible to capture the breadth and depth of programming at Vox this past year. We’ve featured 200+ artists across 17 visual arts exhibitions in our galleries, including: our 19th annual juried exhibition, which explored the intersections of magic and technology; Transcendent Mess, a group exhibition of trans artists working in abstraction; and solo exhibitions from 7 Vox members highlighting a diverse set of artistic practices, from ceramics to installations and more.
In August, we introduced a new artist residency program, welcoming two remarkable artists–Amy Yoshitsu and Johannah Herr–to Vox for a month to build community, create new work, and engage with Philadelphia’s thriving arts ecosystem. This first-time program was an incredible success, culminating in a collaborative exhibition by the artists-in-residence, Conjuring Cruelty. The call for our 2025 artist-in-residence program is already live–we can’t wait to introduce two more out-of-state artists to the Vox audience next year! With your contribution, we can increase the financial support we provide to our selected artists, creating more equity for those who can apply and participate.
Vox presented and hosted over 125 public programs in 2024, ranging from film screenings to experimental comedy to workshops and more, featuring hundreds of artists, musicians, performers, and community organizers. These varied programs contribute to a dynamic, inclusive space for creativity and collaboration. Our collective members are a part of the action: they curated over 35 performance programs in 2024 alone! Throughout the year, Vox also supported allied organizations and local artists through our Partnership Program, offering our space in-kind over 40 times, more than any other year.
These many successes are fueled by our vibrant collective membership, our dedicated board, and our growing network of supporters – like you! As we look to 2025, we’re excited to build on this momentum. With your help, we can continue expanding opportunities for artists and bringing diverse, bold programming to our community.
Your end-of-year donation will directly support every part of what we do, from artist stipends and program expenses to essential supplies that keep our gallery space thriving. As a small DIY arts organization, a contribution of any amount has a significant impact. We hope you’ll consider a gift today.
In gratitude,
Blanche Brown
