ABOUT THE EVENT
Join poet, potter and artist Zachary Ozma for a gallery tour and moderated conversation with exhibiting artists Nat Pyper, Lane Speidel, Jim Strong and The Philadlephia Queer Elders Project.
Celebrating the run of their exhibitions, artists on hand will speak about their work and projects, taking questions from the audience and Ozma in the process.
Light refreshments will be served!
ABOUT ZACH OZMA
Zach Ozma is a poet, potter, and social practice artist. Embodiment theory, archival research, and neo-classically gay imagery inform his practice. Employing mimesis, pedagogy, humor, surprise, and reward, he works in a variety of materials including ceramics, found objects, performance, writing, and works on paper. He is the author of BLACK DOG DRINKING FROM AN OUTDOOR POOL (Sibling Rivalry Press, 2019) and co-edited WE BOTH LAUGHED IN PLEASURE: The Selected Diaries of Lou Sullivan (Nightboat Books, 2019) with Ellis Martin. He holds a BFA in Community Arts from California College of the Arts in Oakland. Ozma lives and works in the Philadelphia area.
