Please join us for a gallery talk with this month’s exhibiting artists Todd Arsenault, Piper Brett, Wes Heiss, Becky Suss and moderator Andrea Serbonich, curator.
Andrea Serbonich is the director of
Benrimon Contemporary in New York, a gallery dedicated to fostering the works of emerging and mid-career artists. She has curated several exhibitions including
Love Me at Benrimon Contemporary,
Foreign Tongue at the Central Utah Arts Center, and a solo exhibition of sculptures by artist Adam Bateman at the Akureyri Museum of Art in Akureyri, Iceland. She was an artist liaison at Perry Rubenstein Gallery where she worked with such artists as Faile, Kamrooz Aram, Robin Rhode, and Amir Zaki. While at Gagosian Gallery, she coordinated three major museum caliber exhibitions including
Picasso: Mosqueteros,
Bacon and Giacometti, and
Manzoni: A Retrospective. Serbonich spearheaded the solo exhibition of contemporary Italian artist Elisa Sighicelli entitled
The Party is Over while also at Gagosian Gallery. She is a member of the New Art Dealers Alliance and is on the Guggenheim Acquisitions Committee as well as a member of the Whitney Contemporaries. She earned a Bachelors of Science in Public Relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, NY and has professional certification in Art Business and Fine Art Appraising from New York University. Serbonich lives and works in New York.
