Alien She is the first exhibition to examine the lasting impact of Riot Grrrl on artists and cultural producers working today.

The Alien She gallery exhibition opened at Vox Populi on Friday, March 7th 2014. The opening crowd was estimated at over 1,000 making the exhibition of the most successful events in the history of the gallery.

On Friday, March 7th, following the exhibition opening at the gallery, gallery viewers headed to Johnny Brenda’s for a special musical event.

On Saturday, March 29th a panel, “Full Circle” was held in conjunction with the art exhibit “Alien She” discussing creating artwork, curation, and self-publishing.

On Sunday, March 30th 2014, Alien She audience were invited to a large zine workshop with Vox member Beth Heinly at the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center.

On Saturday, April 12th 2014, Sempai Elena Waldman lead a self defense workshop titled ‘Fight Like a Girl at the First Unitarian Church.

On Wednesday, April 16th, the Alien She exhibition hosted a panel discussion on the critical topic of race and feminism at William Way in Philadelphia.

On Friday, April 18th 2014, hostess with the mostess, Sara Sherr spun Lil’ Kim to Hole, Loretta Lynn to Diana Ross as the night celebrated women who rock with a fun night of karaoke at Teri’s Bar.
