Leading my craft are the questions of black optimism, our godly abandonment, queer preservation, aesthetic ritual, gathering, and social language in the panoptic sense. I was raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland by my mother, grandmother and aunt (my three graces). In high school I studied stage design at the Baltimore School for the Arts, after which I completed my BA Visual Anthropology at Temple University, and have since been working as a barista and food photographer in Philadelphia. In my practice I am a literary artist in conversation with video portraiture, letterpress, sculpture, tattoo, oration, food and detritus. I am forming my artist tongue in the scholarship of my elders, technical masters of form and living.
